An innocent bystander becomes part of an arts festival: the two women on the right have no idea what’s awaiting them around the corner.

A man organizing his belongings near the Esplanade, Boston, Massachusetts. I took this picture late on the day of the Boston Arts Festival, on the other side of a footbridge over Storrow Drive that connects the Esplanade to “Back Street”, at the corner of Dartmouth Street, and the rest of Back Bay. Families wandering past this man, blissed out from looking at art all day, had a hard time figuring out if he was part of the festival.
