United Shoe Machinery Corporation Building at 160 Federal Street in Boston.

The American flag waving at the top of the 21-story United Shoe Machinery Corporation Building at 160 Federal Street. The building, considered one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in Boston, was designed by architects George W. Fuller & Parker, Thomas & Rice and built in 1930. In the background is the 37-floor First National Bank of Boston Building, Boston’s ninth-tallest building, completed in 1971.
