Tati, at 30 boulevard de Rochechouart in 2002. The chain was started in 1948 by a young Tunisian named Jules Ouaki, who pioneered the then-unknown concept of discount shopping. After the mid 1990s the firm started accumulating debts which became unsurmountable by 2017 bringing a name change to Gifi and the closure of its main office in September 2021.
