The Prudential Tower seen behind the Fairfield and Boylston apartment buildings in the Prudential Center in 1985.

A classic example of brutalist architecture: The Prudential Tower seen behind the Fairfield and Boylston apartment buildings in the Prudential Center on Boylston Street. Designed in the 1950s and built in the early/mid 1960s, these are three examples among the worst of Stalinist architecture ever visited upon Boston.

Photographs of Boston.
