Pont Alexandre III at night during the flooding of the River Seine in January 2018.

Pont Alexandre III viewed from the Left Bank at the end of January 2018 when the river had risen 18 feet from its usual level. On the right side are seen the Grand Palais and the Flow restaurant boat. Construction of the bridge started in 1896 and it is named after Tsar Alexander III, who concluded the Franco–Russian Alliance in 1892.
