A statue of Saint-Denis on the south façade of Notre-Dame.

Saint-Denis, the first bishop of Paris, walked to Vicus Catulliacus with his head in his hands while preaching a sermon on repentance after being beheaded in Montmartre in the year 270.

Photographs of Notre-Dame.
