The entrance to the Métro Abbesses station was designed by Hector Guimard, originally located at Hôtel de Ville and moved to place des Abbesses in 1974. There is just one other Métro entrance designed by Guimard with the iconic glass canopy which remains to this day, at Porte Dauphine.
