Quai de Bourbon, quai aux Fleurs, Notre-Dame and the Conciergerie seen from quai de l’Hôtel de Ville when the River Seine had risen 18 feet, covering the western tip of île Saint-Louis. Île de la Cité is the birthplace of Paris, dating back to the year 52 BC when the village was named Lutetia.
