As soon as the lady arrives, the heron approaches at normally dangerous distances: they are likely to strike with their beak and they aim for the eyes.
  

A Grey Heron who started living in the Jardin des Plantes around the summer of 2006. An elderly lady often brings him fresh sardines she buys at the fish market.
