The chapel was built for the Queen Marie Leszczynska, daughter of the King of Poland Stanislas the first, who married the French King Louis the 15th in 1725.

The chapel of the Queen’s convent, at the other end of the «cour d’honneur», viewed from the main entrance to the Lycée Hoche, the main high school in Versailles, at 73, avenue de Saint-Cloud.
