All but invisible above ground, the Inverted Pyramid is lit up by a frieze of spotlights and mirrors at night.
  

The Pyramide Inversée, designed by I.M. Pei, was conceived as a sort of a “chandelier”, spreading daylight through the Carrousel du Louvre, the underground shopping mall next to the Louvre Museum.
